OK, ok so I've been slack at posting! I've been wanting to post up some New Year's photos but have only just now had a moment. One kid is asleep, the other out with her Dad.
We never do anything on New Year's Eve. It SUX! I'm always up for at least a nice dinner but our families are pretty 'meh' about it. And then I give up the fight and go to bed early anyway. But this year we went to Chris and Mary's place for a mexican themed dinner, nice and early, kid friendly and we left in time to put the kids to bed..... and still went to bed early. BUT HEY! At least it was something!
We had a great time, the food was UH-MAZE-ING and the kids all had a blast together. It was warm, sunny, easy and yummy. A great way to start the year off and say goodbye to the stinky last one. I'm thinking of carrying this on as a tradition and having a themed dinner/bbq each year so that we aren't just waiting on the couch for a bedtime that's well before midnight.
The kids also enjoyed swimming in Marby's blow up whale pool during the day, fun fun. I love the summer time! I hope everyone had a great New Year's too (sheesh its almost February already).
